How Do You Remove Mold From Your Body

Clean Black Mold And Get Rid Of It For Good

MOLD: HOW TO CLEAR MOLD OUT OF YOUR BODY!

Once you know how bad your mold problem is , its time to get rid of the problem.

  • Clean mold yourself. If your mold problem is small and visible, like caulking around your bathtub, you can get rid of it yourself. You just want to make sure you use the right cleaning solution. Bleach wont kill mold entirely, and as the chlorine in bleach dissipates, the bleach turns into water, which creates the perfect environment for new mold to grow. Cleaning vinegar will kill mold, as will industrial chemicals like Moldex. Always wear a P100 respirator so you dont inhale mold spores while you clean. Goggles are a good idea too, and a full body suit for larger mold infestations.
  • Get rid of mold-contaminated items. Clothing, carpet, drapes, caulking, and paper goods like books and files will all absorb mold spores and can cause new mold growth. If theyve been in an area with black mold, get rid of them, or in the case of cloth goods, get them professionally dry-cleaned. Throwing out belongings is a bummer, but its better to be safe than to have to deal with a new mold problem all over again.
  • Professional mold remediation. If you have water damage or major mold contamination in hard-to-reach places, hiring a professional is your best bet. Mold remediation can be expensive, but professionals have the tools to find and eliminate all the mold in your entire home.

Before We Get To How To Remove Mold Spores From Animal Fur Lets Look At A Few Ways To Prevent Mold On Fur In The First Place

If you have a cat or cats, keep them indoors. This eliminates them attracting mold spores from the world outdoors. I know some people just dont believe in confining a cat to the indoors however, this is the best way to prevent mold spores in cat fur.

If you prefer to allow your cat outdoors, consider making them an outdoor cat with privileges to one indoor space like a garage or mudroom. This reduces the possibility of your cat dropping mold spores throughout your home.

If you decide that an indoor/outdoor cat is the only way to go, you will at the very least brush your cats fur before allowing it inside. Wiping your cats fur with a damp cloth is advised as well.

If you have a dog, it is more difficult to avoid mold transfer from fur to house. My best advice is to wipe your dogs paws before they come inside and brush them quickly before they enter the house.

For all animals going outside and coming back inside, be sure to keep their nails trimmed which prevents some transfer of mold spores. Brush your pets daily and bathe regularly. In addition, wash pet bedding weekly with EC3 laundry additive. It removes mold and mycotoxins better than any product out there and has been lab tested to prove it.

How Are Mold Allergies And Exposure Diagnosed

There are no proven tests that show when or where you may have been exposed to mold. However, your doctor may check for mold allergies by reviewing your symptoms and performing one of the following tests:

  • Blood test. Your doctor takes a blood sample and then sends it to a laboratory to measure the number of certain antibodies, which can indicate your immune systems sensitivity to different mold species.
  • Skin prick test. Your doctor takes small amounts of mold and applies it to your skin using a tiny needle. Your skin will break out in bumps, a rash, or hives if youre allergic to that type of mold.

What Do You Do If You Have A Fish Reptile Amphibian Or Bird

Thats a tough one. Fish well they dont really carry mold spores so a new tank and accessories is about all you can do. The same goes for reptiles and amphibians. For water loving reptiles and amphibians, you can give them a gentle scrubbing in a shallow tub of water if they will tolerate it.

Birds are a little more complicated. Dr. Thrasher told me he would likely suggest not keeping the bird. However, in my research, I have discovered that treating a bird with the bird mite protocol might works for mold spores too.

Thats all Ive got! I hope you find this post helpful in your quest to remove mold spores from animal fur. If you have any questions, give me a shout!

How Do Molds Affect People

Mold and Your Health

Exposure to damp and moldy environments may cause a variety of health effects, or none at all. Some people are sensitive to molds. For these people, exposure to molds can lead to symptoms such as stuffy nose, wheezing, and red or itchy eyes, or skin. Some people, such as those with allergies to molds or with asthma, may have more intense reactions. Severe reactions may occur among workers exposed to large amounts of molds in occupational settings, such as farmers working around moldy hay. Severe reactions may include fever and shortness of breath.

In 2004 the Institute of Medicine found there was sufficient evidence to link indoor exposure to mold with upper respiratory tract symptoms, cough, and wheeze in otherwise healthy people with asthma symptoms in people with asthma and with hypersensitivity pneumonitis in individuals susceptible to that immune-mediated condition.

In 2009, the World Health Organization issued additional guidance, the WHO Guidelines for Indoor Air Quality: Dampness and Mould pdf iconexternal icon pdf icon. Other recent studies have suggested a potential link of early mold exposure to development of asthma in some children, particularly among children who may be genetically susceptible to asthma development, and that selected interventions that improve housing conditions can reduce morbidity from asthma and respiratory allergies.

So Is Mold Toxicity A Real Thing

Mold toxicitythe idea that mold can produce harmful substances called mycotoxins that can contribute to autoimmune conditions and other chronic diseaseis a bit controversial. Thats because there isnt any kind of test for it or scientific evidence that any kind of disease exists solely because of mold exposure. Keep in mind that theres a lot of misinformation out there, both about the toxicity of mold and the treatment options.

Theres clear, validated proof that breathing in enough mold in your home over a period of time can cause or exacerbate both allergies and asthma, Dr. Parikh says. It can even cause an invasive respiratory infection, she adds, but any chronic health condition resulting from mold hasnt yet been proven to exist.

How To Naturally Get Rid of Mold/Toxins In Your Body

Treatments for mold toxicity again depend on the kind of exposure a patient has. In cases of hypersensitivity, allergy medications, steroids, or immunotherapy are often enough to address the issue. With infectious cases, oral and intravenous antifungal medications are often enough to kill the mold infection. In cases of mycotoxin infection and mold toxicity, treatment focuses on helping the body metabolize the mycotoxin from the cells. Bile binders help to stop re-absorption of the mycotoxin. While these may have some positive results, many patients do not find relief. A growing treatment option for mold toxicity is the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and it is seeing very positive results.

    Mold Detox Pathways By Mycotoxin

Another way to aid your recovery from mold exposure is to support your bodys detoxification systems. In July of 2020, Dr. Neil Nathan published two tables of information on the Detoxification of Mycotoxins. Different than the table of binders, these tables cover the various ways our body gets rid of certain mycotoxins.

The first table covers detoxification by pathway, listing the key detox pathway for common mycotoxins, as well as foods and supplements that can help support and up-regulate that pathway.

The second table covers detoxification by organ system for common mycotoxins, and provides a list of options for supplemental support.

What Are The Symptoms Of Mold Sickness

If your Total Body Burden is high, or you are genetically predisposed to recycling toxins, regular exposure to mold can cause allergy symptoms, such as:

    • Wheezing/shortness of breath
    • Long standing or frequent sinusitis

And, serious pain and neurological symptoms, such as:

    • Headaches and migraines
    • Muscle cramping, aches and pains
    • Persistent nerve pain

How To Clean Mold From Your Home

If you notice mold in a confined area of your home, you can often clean it out yourself and eliminate the source. Be thorough in all areas and when in doubt, throw it out.

    • Toss out all moldy items like clothing, linens, sheets, drapes, pillows, books, papers, and blankets. This is not an easy step, but its often the only way to eliminate the problem. For special items, you can have them professionally dry-cleaned to remove the mold.
    • Clean all hard surfaces with mold-killing products. Bleach is not an effective mold cleaner and can actually encourage the growth of more mold. Instead, use one of the following:
    • Cleaning Vinegar: Cleaning vinegar is the most effective, and is stronger than basic kitchen vinegar. You can use it at full strength in a spray bottle or dilute it with water.
    • Moldex is an industrial-grade cleaner that has been designed for household cleaning. Its approved for hospital use and is formatted as a fungicide to kill mold and mildew.

When you clean, youll want to use a P100 respirator goggles, gloves, and a full-body suit for larger infestations to protect yourself from inhaling spores. If you have extensive mold in your home, you may want to enlist the help of a home mold expert. Particularly if mold is in your walls or structural areas of the home, it will require extensive renovation and professional cleaning.

    Remove Yourself From Mold Exposure

The first, most critical step to heal from mold exposure is to identify where the mold is located in your environment and to get away from itespecially if youve become ill.

Although you can bandaid mold exposure and illness symptoms with supplements, air purifiers and EC3 spray, you cannot fully heal from mold exposure unless you are in a cleaner space. Repeat: You cannot fully heal from mold exposure unless you are in a cleaner space.

For some people, this means temporarily moving out of their home in order to remediate the mold. For others, this means completely leaving the moldy environment, and several cross-contaminated items behind as if a fire had happened.

Although moving out of a moldy home or office may sound extreme, many anecdotal reports of CIRS sufferers claim it was the only thing that helped them recover.

If anything, spending a short time away from the triggering, moldy environment, can be a good first step to deciphering your sensitivity.

Pro Tip: Finding a mold-free place can be difficult to doespecially if you live in a humid or wet climate. Before leaving one moldy environment in exchange for another one, consider running a mold test sample on the Air BNB, apartment, home or loved ones place that you plan to stay at or rent.

How To Remove Mold From Your Body

The key to eliminating mold from your body is to simply move your whole body each day. You might have read or heard the phrase, Never skip leg day!, which is usually tacked on exercise memes that mock an anonymous bodybuilder whose legs are not as developed as his upper body. While strength-training and muscle-building does improve the immune system, the goal here is not to avoid being disproportionate. By working your entire body, you drain and activate the lymphatic system and supply the blood and tissues with more oxygen needed for eradicating the organs of biotoxins.

The second most important key to eliminating mold from your body is to move your whole body to the point of sweating. Sweat is the bodys natural way to not only cool the body down, but also eliminate waste and cleanse itself. Sweating draws mycotoxins and other biotoxins out of the body through the skin. You may notice that mold-induced acne or rashes will clear up within a week or two of whole-body exercises. Hair loss may slow down or stop completely, as well, on account of the sweat clearing out the pores and follicles of the scalp. In addition, the chronic dry skin, chapped lips, and cracked heels that so often are caused by mold or yeast will clear up and finally heal thanks to sweats cleansing effect on the bodys ability to produce its own oily moisturizer .
