Get Rid Of Mildew Stains With Ammonia
Ammonia is good at removing mildew, but it can harm vinyl, so proceed with caution and make sure to dilute your solution. This method uses ammonia diluted in water, not the concentrated version, which makes it relatively safer to use. In this technique, ammonia speeds up mildew removal by lifting it off your vinyl.
Here are the steps to remove mildew stains of vinyl surfaces using ammonia:
When using ammonia, you must be extremely cautious because this chemical can be harmful when mishandled. Wear protective gloves and glasses. If you are concerned about it damaging your seats, do an inconspicuous spot test, or try one of the other methods instead.;
Vinegar And Baking Soda
Both vinegar and baking soda can be used solely to kill mildew, but when combined together, their potency goes to a whole new level. This combination works because of the fizzing action that eliminates mildew from all the surfaces, including boat vinyl seats. Sprinkle enough amount of baking soda on the seat and then pour white vinegar on it. Leave the solution to do its work, and then clean with a damp cloth. Redo the method if required.

Cleaning White Vinyl Boat Seats In Different Ways
1) Vinegar Method
The first homemade cleaning solution for white vinyl boat seats comes as no surprise. It is the well-known powerhouse of getting rid of dirt vinegar!
Although this element alone is often enough to clean dirty spots and rusts, it may need some help from other agents to do its job right on vinyl seats. This happens since vinyl is a pretty sensitive material that needs a little extra care. Besides, no one would like to mess up an expensive purchase like it.
To prepare the cleaning mixture, combine white vinegar and warm water in the ratio of 1:2. This proportion is important if the seats are white in color. Including warm water will help you to retain the original shine of these seats. Then add two tablespoons of the liquid dish soap you prefer the most.
You can pour this mixture into a spraying bottle and spritz it on the seats. Alternatively, you can absorb some of the mixture on a clean washcloth and use it to scrub the dirt off your boat seats.
2) Baking Soda
There are two ways to go about this. The first one aims at cleaning the whole seat and leaving no spot behind. For this cleaning solution, all you will need is some baking soda and a clean towel.
Sprinkle some baking soda on the towel and rub it on the vinyl surface. This will get rid of all the debris accumulated on seats.
Apply a bit of this paste on the target spot. Then use a clean washcloth to scrub off the stain.
3) Club Soda
6) Warm Soapy Water

Never Air Dry Your Seats
It might seem a lot more convenient to just leave your boat under the sun after a well-deserved wash to leave the heat and open air to dry it up for you. But even just the smallest amount of moisture can produce the perfect breeding ground for mold and mildew.
Thats why its always recommended that you dry your seats yourself to make sure no moisture is left behind.

Getting Rid Of Mildew
A buildup of mildew is not only unsightly it can actually end up reducing the value of your boat. Unfortunately, mildew is a fungus. In order to kill the spores, youll need to use a fairly strong disinfectant. To start, mix a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar.
Although this quick and easy solution will address current mildew stains, it will not prevent stains from reoccurring. In order to take more effective proactive measures, youll want to invest in a mold and mildew stain cleaner that also acts as a stain blocker. We recommend 303 Mold & Mildew Cleaner + Blocker.

It is easier to prevent mold spores and mildew growth from spreading than it is to remove once its there. Removing Yellowing From Vinyl
When youre cleaning your boat interior, one of the most frustrating issues can be the yellowing of vinyl. To tackle this issue, youll want to use a vinyl cleaner that is specifically made for this purpose. Although some resources suggest using ammonia, this can damage the material.

Spray Mold Remover Onto The Seats
With all your cleaning materials assembled, start with spraying your mold remover onto your seats. To get as much coverage as possible, you want to spray into any gaps and seams, since mold likes to form in those areas as well.
From there, let the cleaner sit for some time. Usually, about five minutes will be all you need, but you can allow it to soak for longer if you think you have particularly stubborn stains. You can also follow your mold remover’s recommended instructions to get the best results. This time will allow the cleaner to break down the mold and mildew in a way that will make it easier to clean.

How To Get Rid Of Mold Growth On Unfinished Leather
If you want to clean mold off of unfinished leather, youll need to be a bit more careful about the ingredients and methods youre using. If your favorite leather jacket is unfinished, then its better to use saddle soap than trying to make a homemade leather cleaner to get rid of mold.
Saddle soap is easy to use, and you can purchase it from most hardware stores. To clean your unfinished leather item, apply about a dime-sized amount of saddle soap to a damp sponge or cloth. Rub the soap into the leather until there is a light lather, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
Once the spot appears clean, wipe the soap off with a different damp cloth until the residue is completely gone. Allow the leather to air dry, avoiding high heat levels.
Be careful to keep your item out of reach of direct sunlight, as this may cause fading. Finally, treat the object with a leather conditioner to prevent damage.
How To Remove Mold From Car Seats
Sometimes if you have a car that sits around outside, youll end up with a lot of moisture inside the car. This moisture, if left, will turn into mold and can damage a cars interior quite badly, damage your health, and also turn off anyone else from taking a ride in your ride.
There are a few solutions to the problem of mold inside your car however that are pretty easy, and can clean up the mold pretty quickly.
The first thing to remember, is that bleach is a bad idea. Bleach doesnt work well on porous surfaces, and thus will not work on your car upholstery. Also, you run the risk of damaging the colour in your cars interior.
One of my favorite home remedies for mold on the inside of your car is white vinegar. Specifically distilled white vinegar because its stronger and you will need less of it.
