Question 3question 3 Of : How Do I Get Mold And Mildew Off Of Bathroom Walls

Housekeeping Tips : How to Clean Glassware
  • 1Spray hydrogen peroxide or a baking soda solution on the mold. Put either 3% hydrogen peroxide or a solution of 2 parts baking soda, 1 part white vinegar, and 1 part water into a spray bottle. Apply your solution directly onto the wall that has mold or mildew on it. Wait at least 10 minutes for the solution to work before scrubbing it off in circular motions with a medium-bristle brush.XResearch source
  • Avoid using bleach on walls since it wont reach mold thats deeper than the surface.
  • 2Penetrate deeper mold growth with undiluted vinegar. Since the mold may have grown into the drywall, it will come back if you leave it untreated. Put white vinegar into a spray bottle and liberally apply it to the entire area you just cleaned. Leave the vinegar to air-dry and disinfect the area so the mold doesnt return.XResearch source
  • Dont worry about the vinegar smell. It will disappear as soon as it completely dries.
  • If the room doesnt get good ventilation or airflow, set up a box fan pointed at the wall and let it run for 24 hours.
  • Vinegar kills up to 80% of mold species.XExpert Source
  • Hard Water Marks On Glasses

Can anyone tell me how to clean hard water marks from drinking glasses? Our old dishwasher just didn’t do a good job even when I put the jet dry in it. We have alot of iron in our water, but also have a water softener. We now have a new dishwasher, but the damage was done from the old dishwasher. Any tips on how to make my glasses clear and sparkling again?

    Thanks Carol

i had terrible etching from hard water on my glasses from a dishwasher too… i ran the etched glasses through the dishwasher cycle with about a 1/2 cup of vinegar and no soap … you may need to try a couple different cycles with increasing amounts of vinegar – works great on the silverware too… – tough hardwater stains can be soaked in the sink with some water and vinegar too if the dishwasher cycle does not do it for you…i often splash some vinegar into the dishwasher just before i run it – it seemed to work much better than that blue stuff …

    A Different Kind Of Soda

Regardless of whether you are using a glass, stainless steel, or plastic bottle, getting rid of the smell of a beverage with an overpowering aroma, such as coffee, can be a challenge. Glass bottles are the least likely to absorb odors, this is one of the many reasons why we always recommend them. However, it doesnt matter what kind of bottle you have, baking soda will most likely deliver results. First, clean your bottle using detergent and a bottle brush to remove any residue, then mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 cups hot water inside the bottle. Shake vigorously and let stand for 30 minutes. Rinse, and you are good to go. Since baking soda is abrasive avoid any brushing, especially with plastic bottles, as the tiny particles may scratch the inner surface of the bottle further promoting bacterial growth.

Dishwasher: REMOVE dishwashing rinse agent before using CLR. Pour a 1/2 cup of CLR directly into the bottom of an empty dishwasher . Run a normal cycle followed by an extra rinse cycle. Make sure there are no detergents or any other chemicals in the machine while using our product. Washing Machine: Run your empty machine without detergent up to the main wash cycle, which is where the water stops and the cycle is about to agitate. Stop the machine and add one-half cup of CLR directly into the tub of the machine. Finish cycle. Run one additional full cycle with water only to rinse machine fully. If your machine is HE and/or ‘Water Saver’ we recommend using a 1/4 cup of CLR, instead of the normal 1/2 cup recommended for any other type of washer/dishwasher. For Front Loading Machines: Simply add a 1/2 cup of CLR to the soap dispenser . After the full cycle has completed, run an additional rinse cycle with just water.
