Mold stains may remain after ridding your shower of mold. If they do, then use a baking soda paste to remove the stains. Prevent future mold growth by keeping your bathroom well-ventilated and by spraying your shower with a water-vinegar solution after you finish showering three to five times a week.

Is Shower Mold Toxic
Due to the way bathrooms and showers are constructed today, the black mold you see in your shower is less likely to be the really hazardous type of mold. This is because your shower areas and surfaces dont have cellulose which is required for most of the really hazardous types of mold to grow.
That isnot to say that one of the more toxic molds cant ever grow in your shower. Theycan. If you have a bigger issue in your bathroom or home and THOSE spores haveinfiltrated your shower then your shower can become a breeding ground for somereally bad mold. But regular ol mold in the shower usually more allergenicthan anything.
Why To Avoid Using Bleach On Grout
Natural anti fungal solutions and dedicated mildewcides are effective because these substances penetrate into grout to kill mold under the surface. Household bleach is considered a surface disinfectant because chlorine does not get absorbed into the cement, sand and water that comprise grout or other porous materials.
Chlorine and oxygen bleach are harsher than the acetic acid in standard household or cleaning vinegar or sodium borate sold as Borax. Bleach and other harsh bathroom cleansers are also more likely to cause grout to crumble away, making re-grouting necessary.
If shower grout wears down, water may be able to work its way behind tiles where the presence of excessive moisture can cause a hidden mold problem. Mold growing behind walls is more likely to require professional residential mold removal services.

What does it take to keep your bathroom sparkling with cleanness at all times?
Its a well-known fact that mold thrives best in warm, moist areas with poor air circulation. This makes bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and basements ideal places for mold to develop humidity is always high and air flow is usually limited. Therefore, it is very common to see mold in these rooms on walls and ceilings, on caulking and between tiles, etc.
Tile grout, however, is where mold is most often found. There is a good reason for that tiles are typically used in areas where moisture is abundant and the porous nature of grout makes it particularly susceptible to mold growth.
When mold builds up on the grout, it not only makes your kitchen or bathroom look old and dirty, but also poses serious health risks to you and your family and compromises the integrity of your home.
To prevent such troubles and save yourself a lot of money and nerves, you need to find an efficient way to keep mold at bay remove it from the grout as soon as you notice it or, even better, prevent it from developing in the first place.

How To Remove Mold From Grout
Wondering how to clean mold from grout using these materials? Play around with these steps and see which one works best for your shower grout.
Begin with Vinegar
Fill a spray bottle with a 1:1 ratio of vinegar and water, then spray the affected areas of your shower and let the solution sit for about 5-10 minutes. Scrub thoroughly using either one of the above brushes, then rinse with warm water.
Follow up with Baking Soda and Vinegar
Although many people prefer using both vinegar and baking soda separately, cleaning mold with vinegar and baking soda together is most effective. For starters, mix baking soda and water in a bowl. Then dip your brush inside the paste and proceed to work your way through the grout. Spray the vinegar solution to remove that nasty buildup and then rinse with warm water.
Is the Mold still not Coming Out? Try Hydrogen Peroxide or Bleach
If you have really tough mold on your shower grout, then hydrogen peroxide or bleach might be the game-changer. Many people are very skeptical about the effectiveness of bleach. Cleaning grout with hydrogen peroxide might be better than cleaning grout with bleach because of several reasons.
The effervescent nature of hydrogen peroxide makes it more effective at getting rid of mold from shower grout than bleach. Its also affordable and readily available in stores, and most tiles get discolored by bleach, which makes most people prefer hydrogen peroxide from bleach, but that doesnt mean that it is not as effective.

Got Really Tough Grout Stains Try Hydrogen Peroxide:
If youve got visible stains, mold or mildewed grout, hydrogen peroxide is a game changer. Spray it on the stain and let it sit for a few minutes then go to work on it with your scrub brush of choice. You might have to repeat this step a few times if youve got a tough stain. If repeated efforts still arent making the stain disappear, try making a baking soda and hydrogen peroxide paste. Apply the paste to the grout lines, let sit, scrub and rinse with warm water.

Molds like to grow in warm, moist areas with poor air circulation. Bathrooms are a common place for mold because the humidity always high and there’s not much airflow going on. This means you’ll often see it growing on walls and ceilings, between tiles or even where caulking meets bathtubs!
Tile grout is a breeding ground for mold. This should come as no surprise, considering that tiles are often found in moist areas where the porous material of tile can be easily contaminated by moisture-loving spores like mildew.
